With high school finally at its end, it feels like the end of a long, yet memorable journey. I feel like I have grown tremendously as a person over the past decade of schooling, especially over the past four years. The journey, however, wasn't always easy. Regardless, high school was a time of experimentation and discovery. I realized things about my potential that I would have never expected to find. Also, having friends made things a lot more smoother and enjoyable, because I knew I always had a shoulder to lean on for support, and that I was not alone in this journey. Despite the tedious academics, the wisdom and life advice given by my teachers is one thing that I will cherish from my journey. Furthermore, I learned that prioritizing self care above all else is essential to a successful lifestyle. Another lesson I learned is not to judge anyone, because everyone is fighting their own personal battle. I was exposed to many different ideologies and perspectives, which made me more openminded. I realized that achieving your dreams require immense effort, sacrifice, and patience, and you must have the tenacity and motivation to succeed. Despite being in a competitive environment, setting my own standard and goals for success gave me motivation. High school may not have been perfect, however it certainly was necessary to my upbringing, and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. I am grateful for all the people that I have met along this journey, and I will cherish all the sweet memories that I have made for a lifetime! :)
