Happy 2018! I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable New Year. 2017 was a rollercoaster ride, no doubt about it. With the new year, though, we all have a chance to leave the troubles of the previous years behind us and start with a fresh, clean slate. We tend to form New Year's resolutions or goals for the next year, but they don’t always stick throughout the year. Don’t worry, because there are easy ways to stay productive and happy when coming into the new year:

1. Keep reminding yourself

With all the returning responsibilities, we tend to forget our goals. It’s good to remind yourself of what you planned on a scheduled basis. (Tip: The iPhone reminder app is a pretty effective way to set up reminders)

2. Keep a positive or optimistic mood

Yes, I will understand that some of us are hesitant about going back to school or work, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't keep a positive outlook on things. You got this, you guys! 😁

3. Don't worry about it too much

Worrying too much about your resolutions will cause you to start regretting actually towards it in the first place, and may even lead you to give up on your resolution altogether. Remember to keep up your determination, but allow yourself some time to rest.

4. Set short term and long term goals

Your resolutions may seem daunting at first, but if you set short term and long term goals, you'll realize that your tasks are much more doable, and you'll know what to work towards.

5. Make space in your schedule for improvement.

Try to make at least a little bit of time for your resolutions. The only way to improve is to have consistency in what you are doing. Also, if you find that you have a really chaotic life (like me), try organizing your life with a bullet journal.

6. Have confidence.

If you have confidence in yourself, the more you'll find that you'll find that you're more motivated to do the things you want to achieve.
