Hello everybody! Hasn't it been an awesome winter break for you all so far? Well, a few days ago, if you would have seen me during the passing hours, you would only grasp one depiction-----boredom. It all started one morning, when I had just gotten up:-

I opened my eyes and gazed lazily at the clock. It showed ten o'clock sharp. I looked at the bedroom door from the corner of my eye and saw sunlight peeping into the room.I leaped out of bed cheerfully. I couldn't waste this perfect day!I raced to the bathroom to brush my teeth. But when I looked up at my face, I could see a face full of laziness. My mind urged me to take a day off and procrastinate on my holiday homework. Unfortunately, I gave in. I dawdled down the stairs thoughtlessly. I poured myself some milk and had breakfast. Then, I settled down on the couch, and poked around for the remote. At that moment, my mom entered the room with her hands on her hips, her lips pursed into an annoyed smile. " Do something productive!"she urged. " This is the time to finish things you've never had time for on school days!" As a 7th grader, I have a passion for doing productive activities, but sometimes laziness get in the way. After that, I sprinted upstairs to take a bath. Next, I sat down to practice Carnatic music. I had to strengthen my vocal chords in time for class. For the next two hours, I worked on strengthening the basics, then working my way up to my current level. I was surprised at the fact that I couldn't control my voice properly. That's when I realized that practice makes a man perfect.I counted the number of days I hadn't practiced. The number made me shudder. After a great deal of practicing, we had lunch. Then I plopped myself in front of the TV. Slowly and silently, the television wound its invisible tentacles and hypnotized us. On second thought, that reminds me of Ka, fromThe Jungle Book! We couldn't move from it or take our eyes off it. At about 5pm, I snapped out of hypnotism. I thought about my homework. My laziness told me to put it off for later, but I thought," Why not give it a try? It will save time for later. So,with that, I started my homework After a while, I started to get bored of homework. I decided to put it off 'til tomorrow. I went back down and was lured back into hypnotism. After about an hour, I stayed in front of the TV, then switched it off, preventing procrastination once and for all. I raced back upstairs and settled onto my rolling chair. I took out a notepad and started writing this story......
