A Light Show That'll Make You Forget Fireworks

Scientists have recently predicted that the Aurora borealis, or Northern Lights, would occur on New Year's Eve of 2015.  According to nbcbayarea.com, this was expected to have be seen in Canada, Alaska, a majority of the northern United States, and much of northern California. Apparently, there seemed to have be an "asymmetric, partial coronal mass eruption(CME)" or solar storm. This may have been a contribution factor to the Northern Lights.
